Centric Church’s desire to help people fall in love with Jesus Christ and help them center their lives on the person of Jesus Christ. To help people discover what it means to be image bearers of Jesus Christ and to help people love others like Jesus has loved us.
At Centric Church, everything we do flows from our passion to love God and love people. We believe the local church is more than a gathering—it's a movement. A movement of grace, truth, and transformation that starts where we are and reaches beyond where we’ve ever been. Come as you are and join us as we follow Jesus together. Whether you’re just exploring faith or ready to dive deeper, there’s a place for you here.
Compassionate Living
We Show We Care. We lead with love, offering kindness, presence, and help to those in need—both inside and outside our walls. We begin with compassion. Whether it’s a warm welcome, a listening ear, or a helping hand, we seek to reflect the love of Jesus in real, tangible ways.
Connection with Purpose
We Make New Connections. We intentionally build relationships that reflect the unity and diversity of God’s family. Relationships matter. We create intentional spaces for new friendships to form, where everyone belongs, and no one walks alone.
Consistent Community
We Build Steady Community. We commit to being present, growing in trust, and doing life together beyond just Sunday. Church isn’t just a Sunday event. We invest in rhythms of life together, through small groups, meals, and shared mission—so that our faith becomes steady and lasting.
Christ-Centered Growth
We Grow to Go Deeper in Our Faith. We anchor ourselves in God's Word and mature spiritually through discipleship and discipline. We are disciples of Jesus, committed to learning and growing. Through Scripture, prayer, and spiritual practice, we go deeper—so our roots in Christ grow stronger.
Commissioned Multiplication
We Multiply by Making Disciples. We are sent to multiply the message and ministry of Jesus—equipping others as we go. We don't just grow for ourselves. We multiply what God is doing in us by investing in others—mentoring, equipping, and reproducing the mission in every generation.
Called and Capable
We Are Empowered to Be Effective. Through the Holy Spirit, we are called, gifted, and empowered to serve God’s mission with excellence and faith. We believe every believer is called and gifted. Through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to serve, lead, and impact the world around us with boldness and grace.

During the summer of 2024 we sensed God stirring our hearts to plant a new work. We have been praying for the where and the when since that stirring. It became clear over this year that God was sending us to Corpus Christi. You can’t keep a planter from planting! For over 25 years of ministry we have continued to think outside the box and see opportunities in the least likely places. We have used this creativity in various roles over the years in established churches and a couple of new works as well. It has become increasingly evident that our call and giftings, as well as our educational background continue to lead us toward starting new churches. As the world continues to shift it is our belief that the best approach to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ is to adopt a missional approach to making disciples. We believe church planting helps us accomplish this.
Caed Derrick grew up in ministry! The last couple years helping out in the student ministry at her church and as a Texas BSM Missionary on Schreiner University where she discipled college students. Caed has a BA in Anthropology from Texas Tech.
We are in the start up phase of our new church. This means we are casting vision and hosting Bible Studies in our home. If you are interested in learning more about Centric Church please reach out to us. We would love to set up a time to come meet you and share more details about the church.
